Extremely disappointed with the quality and service. I bought a pair of shoes from the Columbia Sportswear India website in August 2024, expecting durability and performance from a brand of this reputation. However, after just a few road trips and very normal usage, the shoes started tearing at the exact point where they bend while walking.
What’s even more frustrating is that the product was still under warranty. When I contacted the brand, they casually dismissed the issue as “normal wear and tear” — which is completely unacceptable for shoes that are barely used and supposedly covered under a 4-year warranty. What is the point of offering such a long warranty if it doesn’t actually cover anything meaningful?
To make matters worse, these shoes were themselves a replacement for my first pair, which was also defective. So this is now the second failed product I’ve received from them.
A company like Columbia should not be delivering such poor quality, nor should they be denying genuine claims so easily. This has been a very frustrating experience overall. Buyers, please be cautious before purchasing — the warranty and brand name clearly don’t guarantee reliability here.
